Treatment methods:

  • Termites

Application of a chemical barrier to the perimeter of a slab on ground home or beneath the floor of a home on stumps. This treatment most often involves the installation of chemically treated soil zone that prevents undetected termite to your home. For concrete slab homes we drill and inject the concrete or paving around the house to inject the chemical at the edge of the slab / footing. Where there is garden bed or lawn areas we trench the area beside the house and flood this with chemical to install the chemical barrier.

  • Ants

    Treatment

Application of a residual chemical spray to the paving and garden areas around the house typically with Fipronil or Bifenthrin is the most effective method of treatment for ants in WA. Fipronil is slower to act and is transferred by the ants back to the nest so that the entire colony can be eliminated. Bifenthrin acts more instantly and also eliminates the colony when applied correctly.

    Internal areas

Usually, all internal ant problems will also be solved by the external chemical spray. However, if the technician thinks it appropriate due to the severity of the infestation, they may also apply ant gel and apply a light surface spray to internal perimeters.

  • Spiders

    Treatment

Application of a residual chemical spray to the exterior of the house around window and door frames, fence capping, down pipes eaves, bins etc, we use Bifenthrin as it is the most common method of treatment for spiders in WA. Bifenthrin leaves a residual protective layer to all walls, eaves and entry points for spiders around the house.

    Internal areas

We apply a fine mist chemical barrier internally where required, by spraying around window frames, door frames, cornices and skirting boards, behind the furniture and all the places that the spiders commonly inhabit during the day. If the technician thinks it appropriate due to the severity of the infestation, they may also apply Permethrin dust to the roof void to pr event spiders frombreeding up there.

  • Cockroaches

Application of a residual chemical spray to the exterior of the house typically with Bifenthrin is the most common method of treatment for cockroaches in WA. Internally depending on the level of infestation we may use gel baits for minor infestations or for serious infestations we may ask you to remove crockery and cutlery from the pantry and cupboards so that we can apply a residual spray to these areas.

  • Singapore Ants

Singapore ants (Trichomyrmex destructor) are an introduced species to Australia and are mainly a pest in north Western Australia. However during summer, these ants have caused problems in the Perth area. Where are they found? Singapore ants have become well adapted to living with humans. In infested areas these ants can be found outside and throughout the home, foraging for sugar, fat and protein rich food. Damage These ants can chew through fabric, insulation and rubber goods, causing damage to homes, cars and electrical appliances. DPIRD

Thes ants can cause thousands of dollars of damage to electrical wiring including air conditioners.

The treatment is essentially the same as for other ants, however if you see ants in electrical areas or coming out of power points, do not delay getting this looked at before they do damage.
